Living Smarter, Living Better: The Future of Everyday Design
How Can Industrial Design Improve Our Everyday Lives? If in the past clearly recognizable design trends prevailed, today we live in a time of fragmentation, where the global picture no longer offers a single leading model. This raises the question of whether dominant trends still exist, or if they have been replaced by a multitude of equally valid approaches. In such an environment, the task of designers becomes even more demanding – how to create products that are intuitive, functional, and sustainable, yet at the same time unique and distinctive.
The discussion will highlight the role of designers in creating objects and solutions that respond to contemporary lifestyles. In recent years, these have changed significantly – remote work, the digitalization of everyday tasks, a faster pace of life, and greater awareness of sustainability have opened new questions and needs. How can industrial design address these changes without sinking into the generic products dictated by the global market?
Participants will discuss innovations that combine technology and user experience, the integration of smart solutions into everyday objects, and how design influences quality of life – from ergonomics and accessibility to the emotional value of products. Special emphasis will be placed on the issue of authenticity: how to preserve uniqueness in a world where generic solutions spread faster than ever before.
The round table will therefore open a broader debate on the future of design for everyday life – whether it can become a tool for a more thoughtful, responsible, and user-friendly way of living, and how designers can create products that will continue to carry real value in the years to come.
