Juan Manuel Herranz Molina

VIRAI ARQUITECTOS, Spain

A Spanish architectural studio has created one of the most interesting stories of intertwining business, tourism, and culinary experiences. The La Grajera winery has become a must-see destination for both tourists and winemakers, as evidenced by numerous publications in leading European daily newspapers. The studio has successfully completed numerous large and buildings with demanding functional programs, which is how its success story began.

Architects Juan Manuel Herranz Molina and Marta Parra Casada founded the architectural studio Virai Arquitectos when they won a competition for a large sports and cultural center in Madrid in 1998. Since then, they have devoted themselves to numerous competition projects, winning many first prizes. For them, architecture is a physical reality that has a great impact on people. They firmly adhere to the concept that architecture must always transform space and improve life within it.
