Duška Mačić
Chief City Architect of the Capital City Podgorica, Montenegro
Born in 1986 in Kotor, where she completed elementary and high school. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Montenegro, where in 2011 she defended her thesis on the reconstruction of the old thermal power plant on the Škurda River in Kotor, administrative building of electricity supply company from the period of development of modern architecture and their conversion into a civic-cultural centre.
She made her first steps in design at the Enforma design studio in Kotor. She is a licensed architect with over 10 years of professional experience in the field of spatial planning, design and construction of buildings.
She has been employed as the Chief city architect of the Capital city Podgorica since June 1, 2023. Together with her team, she works diligently in areas prescribed by law, as well as for the purpose of improving the capital city. She plans to pay full attention to the architectural and urban development of the city, as well as to improving the visual identity of the city, and thus the quality of life of the citizens of the capital.
