Dagfinn Sagen, Helge Lunder

MDH Arkitekter, Norway

Dagfinn Sagen and Helge Lunder are two of the three founders and partners of the MDH office in Oslo. MDH is a young architectural studio that has made a name for itself with its latest project, the Moholt 50/50 student housing complex consisting of five wooden skyscrapers. The complex is considered the largest project made of cross-laminated timber panels ever built in Europe. From the first floor upwards, the skyscrapers are made exclusively of wood, including the stairwells and elevator shafts, which is nothing short of revolutionary. In the year 2017, the project was shortlisted for the prestigious Mies van der Rohe Award and the WAN Wood and Architecture Award.
