November 9, 2017, City of Design Ljubljana, Dunajska cesta 123
What can we expect when a leading brand of sanitary technology and an established world-class industrial designer combine their expertise? Well thought-out perfection.
Visit the lecture by the industrial designer Cristoph Behling, who is coming to Slovenia for the first time to talk about the challenges of designing timeless perfection and his creative inspirations as a special guest of the Month of Design.
Christoph Behling studied industrial design at the Academy of Art and Design in Stuttgart in the mid-1990s, where he became a protégé of Richard Sapper. After completing his studies, Behling first spent a few years working at the architecture and design studio of Masayuki Kurokawa in Tokyo. In 1998, he moved to London, where he lives and works to this day. Behling first worked with Ross Lovegrove in his early years in England’s capital, before founding the Christoph Behling Design Studio in 2004. In 2006, he then opened his development studio “SolarLab”, where he has since built more than 40 solar yachts and ferries. Christoph Behling works for a wide range of international companies, including as the lead designer for luxury watch manufacturer TAG Heuer.
