AKSL arhitekti was established in 2000 by Aleš Košak and Špela Leskovic. AKSL was nominated for Plečnik’s prize (Restaurant Rožmarin in Maribor) 2009, nominated for the best interior for Contract World Award in the group “New Generation”. (Restaurant Valvas’or) and in 2010 for Café Rog in Ljubljana. In 2015, AKSL won Best interior of the year (Restaurant Robba in Ljubljana).
They exhibited in Slovenia (DAL Ljubljana, Dessa architectural gallery Ljubljana, Slovenian Ethnographic Museum, Ljubljana, University Maribor, House of Architecture Maribor), as well as internationally (HDA Graz, architecture Centrum Hamburg, MSU Belgrade, Belgrade Zira, Design Museum Holon, Tel Aviv, Israel). In 2015, Špela Leskovic worked in studio of Prof. Jurij Sadar at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana. In 2015, she was a technical assistant at prof. Stefano De Marino at Faculty of Architecture University of Innsbruck, while Aleš Košak is also working as a specialist for hospitality and leads several hotel projects in Austria. In 2015, they established another office in Vienna, where they currently live.
