Gerdi Papa

Barleti University, Albania

Gerdi Papa is an architect, product designer, academic, and researcher working at the intersection of digital fabrication, parametric design, and sustainable architecture. He holds a PhD in Architecture and Urban Design from a joint program between Polis University and the University of Ferrara, focused on sustainable design strategies using end-of-life materials and digital workflows.

He is Head of the Department of Creative Industries and Creative Director at Barleti University in Tirana, where he leads programs in Interior and Product Design and Digital Arts, and directs the university’s Creative Maker Space. His professional experience spans architectural and product design practice, research, and teaching, with previous roles at Fondi Shqiptar i Zhvillimit and Metropolis Shpk. He was an active contributor to Tirana Design Week and Tirana Architecture Week, and is one of the founders of the Tirana Architecture Triennale.
