“NU" means “us” in Mauritian Creole. Our belief is that, rather than applying a style to our buildings, our architecture is conceived based on our clients identities, passions and unique lifestyles. We don’t generalise across projects, our job is to uncover and express the unique story of each project through our design.

Our studio’s name is a tribute to our co-founder’s mother tongue. Jonathan grew up on the tiny island of Mauritius in Africa then moved to a bigger island called Australia, where he met his co-founder, Yumie.
