Inspiration:
In her graduate collection The Invisible Path, Ana Krgović talks about the clash of cultures as a result of migration flows between the African and European continents. Motifs taken from African clothing culture incorporated into the fashion of Western European urban culture are alternated in six clothing combinations with intense colored textile patterns. The designer, inspired by traditional zero-waste African clothing, applies the same technique while designing and making some items of clothing in the collection.

Materials and techniques:
With the use of waterproof textiles and a symbolic circle associated with the concept of constant movement and the metaphor of a lifebelt, The Invisible Path collection becomes an appeal for rescue on the deadliest migration route in the Mediterranean Sea. All prints in the collection were created using eco-friendly colors that are based on water and biodegradable inks, printed on big ink-jet printers. The technology used is efficient and enables waste-free printing.

Ana Krgovic (1994) graduated from University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology, fashion design department. She was one of the 12 finalists at the international competition for young designers "Lodz Young fashion 2019" among 400 applicants. Nurturing a contemporary approach to design, the designer explores the connection between color psychology and semiotics, resulting in a strong visualization of identity. In her work, she deals with the problematization of social, psychological and cultural phenomena. She has participated in several exhibitions and fashion shows in Zagreb and is the winner of the BigSEE Fashion Design Award, Ljubljana for 2020.
