We Built This

Since 1999, we’ve been shaping architecture and design with a vision to inspire change.
It began with Hiše magazine, grew into the Month of Design (2003), the Slovenian Design Awards, and the BIG Architecture Conference (2008) – Slovenia’s most influential architectural event.
In 2014, City of Design opened a new chapter in connecting South-East Europe.
Since 2018, these efforts have converged into BIG SEE – a regionally rooted and now globally relevant movement.
It gives creatives the visibility to rise, the voice to be heard, and the freedom to redefine the way the world works.

We Believe

We believe in minds that think before they follow – and imagine what doesn’t yet exist.
In creative thinking born from diversity and shaped by complexity: too many histories, too few resources, and constant transformation.
This is how ideas are born in South-East Europe – and why we now seek such minds around the world.
