The winter bathing house “Isfuglen” is a club for winter bathers and houses a community room, changing facilities and sauna. It is located at the very tip of the entry point to Brøndby Marine Harbour. The location is unique and gives the house and its members a special opportunity to become a beacon for the harbor and an authentic part of the active harbour life. The project sets a benchmark in terms of transforming a strict rule set (the design demands from the local plan) into modern, innovative and unique architecture.
What makes this project one-of-a-kind?
The winter bathing house “Isfuglen” dimishes the thresholds between inside and outside and by doing this creates a unique water experience for the user.
