About Bobcat
Bobcat Company is an American-based manufacturer of farm and construction equipment. It was founded in 1947 in Gwinner, North Dakota, by brothers Louis and Cyril Keller. Bobcat is known for producing compact equipment that is both powerful and efficient. The company sells skid steer loaders, compact excavators, side-by-sides, compact tractors, and other small hydraulic equipment under the Bobcat brand name.
Bobcat has a rich history of innovation, and it is credited with inventing the compact equipment industry. In 1956, local turkey farmer Eddie Velo approached the Keller brothers with a unique problem. He was looking for a machine to quickly clear manure from the second floor of his barn. The Keller brothers designed a small, powerful machine that could do the job, and the Bobcat skid-steer loader was born.
Bobcat Company is committed to pushing the boundaries of technology and creating equipment that is tougher and more versatile than ever before.
“If you need tough, empowering, inventive and versatile, you need Bobcat…. Together, we’re One Tough Animal®. We are Bobcat. More than 60 years ago, we invented the compact loader. Today, Bobcat® equipment is still breaking down barriers to productivity with new ways to do tough jobs and do them fast. We push our technology and our ambitions further. Every. Single. Day. It’s our business to look beyond and create technology that’s tougher than tomorrow will ever be.”
