Bloc Office was founded in 2005 by architect Raluca Visinescu. Although the initial aim was for a growing team, starting in 2011, she realized she wanted to concentrate on small and medium-sized projects, crafted with care and specificity for clients and locations. Raluca personally oversees the entire phases of design and construction. Therefore, Bloc Office’s team consists of an architect (Raluca) and a cat (Itzik). Their work has garnered recognition at the Bucharest Architecture Annual (2018) in the Housing Category Prize, the Romanian Architecture Biennale (2018) with a nomination in the Housing Category, and the Big See Wood Design Award (2018), as well as receiving the Bronze A’Design Award in 2011.
