The trio of brothers Mösl Christoph (architecture), Mösl Matthias (statics) and Mösl Stefan (construction management and expert) - each of whom had a one-man business previously - came together in 2015 to form a joint company called m3-ZT (m3 stands for Mösl times 3 - ZT for Zivil-Techniker, means Civil engineer).
The company, based in St. Gilgen, in the state of Salzburg in Austria, relies on sustainable timber construction and offers holistic project management from a single source, as well as the individual areas of expertise of the three brothers. The great advantage of their merger is that all areas are involved in the planning processes from the start. This enables you to shorten routes and work more effectively and efficiently. There are many offices that only offer individual solutions – the brothers can act alone or together - and thus respond individually to customer inquiries and plan everything down to the last detail.
"Our projects are primarily about creating living space that will last for generations and leave next to no rubbish when it is demolished," says Christoph Mösl. “Everything that is against nature does not last in the long run.” In addition to their holistic and sustainable attitude, they are also socially minded. With every holistic project that m3-ZT GmbH accepts, it takes on a sponsorship of a child from the SOS-Children Villages, which the client can continue by request after the project has been completed.
The 3 brothers all attended a higher technical institute (HTL) in Austria and a technical college in Germany. All three have also passed the master builder examination. Stefan also has an apprenticeship as a carpenter, Christoph an apprenticeship as a forestry worker. On top of that, Stefan and Matthias are civil engineers, and Stefan is also expert / building surveyor.
In addition to their jobs as construction technicians at m3, all three also have other occupational activities for a good work-life balance. Christoph works as a forestry worker and farmer with nature and the raw material wood from the pick on his in-laws' farm, Stefan manufactures wooden utensils in the basement of his all-wood house and Matthias is a lecturer for statics and wood construction at a technical school in Salzburg as preparation for the examination of the future timber builder. He is also a hobby carpenter and a professional in dealing with wood.
“All three of us had a one-man business previously for several years, each independent in his own area, until we decided to do this together from now on and use synergies. We have known each other since we were small and everyone knows what makes the other tick. This helps us to respond to one another, to complement each other and ultimately to implement our projects more smoothly. "
