alto design studio was founded in the 1980s in Sarajevo, BIH. In 1993 the office had relocated to Slovenia and is today run by a father – daughter duo, Mirza and Nina Eminagić.
Through its practice the studio aims at achieving sustainable and functional solutions, aesthetically pleasing and technologically perfected. Every project phase is approached with care and a lot of thought is put into designing and constructing a good detail no matter the scale.
They both have a minimalist approach to design, but their style keeps evolving with each new project, and could now be described as eclectic. Colour, pattern and texture exploration is a constant in their work.
