ECOTEN is a family-owned group focused on consultancy in energetics, environment, urban environment – urban heat islands, and sustainable building design since 2012. It has been expanding its services and investing in research, cooperating with research institutions continuously. The founder, Dr. Jiří Tencar, is active in academia as an external teacher and researcher at The Czech Technical University in Prague. ECOTEN teamed up with architect Pavel Šulc and set out on an adventurous journey to design the revitalization of the school in Prague into a modern and sustainable building ahead of the introduction of the European taxonomy – Zero-Emission Building and New European Bauhaus.
