Bernd Huckriede has been an architect since 1983 and was appointed to a professorship at Brandenburg Technical University in Cottbus in 1992. As head of the degree program, he was responsible for the development of the innovative architecture course until 2016. Together with his wife, Huckriede runs an architectural studio in Cottbus. Jens Brinkmann has been running his interdisciplinary studio United Architektur in Berlin with partners in São Paulo since 2004. He received a doctorate in cultural studies from Humboldt University Berlin. His architecture is characterized by an awareness of diversity, reflected in the programs, building scales, and places of his projects. Ludwig Heimbach’s studio realizes architecture ranging from furniture to urban space with a scenographic design approach and is widely published and exhibited. He was a resident at Villa Kamogawa in 2016 and has taught at ETH Zurich, KU Leuven, msa Münster, and Kyoto City University, among others.
