Heidelberg Materials: evoZero

Carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology has the potential to completely transform cement production and enable a whole new level of CO₂ reduction. At Heidelberg Materials, we are currently commissioning the industry’s first large-scale CCS facility in Brevik, Norway: Once operational, Brevik CCS will capture 400,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually. This will enable us to supply evoZero®, the world’s first net-zero carbon captured cement at scale, to customers in Europe starting already in 2025.
