LECTURES WOOD 180˚

A series of highly energised presentations (180 seconds each) by sucessfull Slovenian woodworking companies and innovative suppliers to wood industry, addressing the basic question – How to succeed?
They will present their own innovative and development experience, their competitive advantage on the market, such as: development of new products / services, new technological processes, innovative ways of marketing approaches, new technologies etc.
180 ̊ is an opportunity for systematic networking of experts within the forest-wood chain and beyond. It is also an opportunity to find ideas for your own development.

ROUND TABLE WOOD POLICIES 3.0: FOLLOWING OR LEADING?

At the Round table Wood policies 2.0: following or leading?, representatives of various woodworking niches (wood processing, custom-made furniture, building furniture, wooden houses, small wooden items) and representatives of forestry institutions and government will discuss the dilemmas of development of Slovenian woodworking sector, possible breakthroughs, market positioning and the role brands. They will discuss ways of effective system support to increase the competitiveness of the wood industry. What kind of vision do we have, which strategies we use, how to measure their effects, what are examples of good practice, what are your recommendations for creating a successful wood policy?

WOOD NICHES

In a competitive market situation, the strategy of differentiation and the search for specific market niches is a strategic opportunity for woodworking sector. At the workshop, we will see stories that succeeded with their own development of innovative, well-designed products and successfully positioned themselves in narrow market segments.

FORUM: WOOD IN INTERIORS

Internationally recognised architects will explore the potentials of timber interior design. They will present positive examples of overcoming the impossible, of designing open innovative environments, or refurbishments of old building interiors. Innovative architectural solutions can result into high quality landmarks, which might support local identity and attract further investors.

CONTACT TABLES

Contact tables as a par of Wood2 Expo are individual business meetings for networking professionals in woodworking industry. In terms of content and organization, effective exchange of expert opinions and information is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with novelties.

AWARDS AND EXHIBITION WOOD ICON 2018

Various ways of using wood will be displayed at the exhibition; from small products, to furniture, wooden houses and public commercial buildings.
The projects of authors from the region of South East Europe will be exhibited, which, in addition to the use of wood, take into account sustainable development and represent top design and architectural solutions. The purpose of the exhibition is to show the various possibilities of using wood in a living environment and how it affects the quality of life.
