Bruno Dujić

CBD, Slovenia

Dr. Bruno Dujič finished 2001 PhD in the field of seismic resistance of wooden structures. In 2001, was awarded for his research by Consortium of Universities for Research in Earthquakes Engineering in the USA. In 2003, he received a scholarship from the Japan Society for Promotion of Science and worked at Japanese research institutions in the field of developing seismic methods for wooden structures. In 2003, he started researching and developing computational methods for the response of innovative wooden massive structures made of cross-laminated (X-Lam) elements under seismic loading. Until 2009, he was employed at University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, where he worked as a researcher and expert mainly in the field of wooden and composite constructions. He was involved in several European and international research projects. In 2006, he founded the consulting and design company CBD d.o.o. (Contemporary Building Design), which is specialized in the design of modern wooden structures in seismic areas. The company CBD has so far designed many demanding wooden constructions of buildings, including the two Slovenian pavilions, with which Slovenia presented itself at the world exhibitions EXPO 2015 in Milan and in 2021 in Dubai.
