Nanne de Ru collaborated with One Architecture in Amsterdam between 1999 and 2002. He then took on the role of lead researcher and designer at Rem Koolhaas’ AMO/OMA studio in Rotterdam between 2002 and 2004. In 2005, he co-founded Powerhouse Company and took over the management of the Rotterdam office.

Nanne de Ru currently teaches at the faculties of architecture in Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
