Compost toilet MORE

With the waterless composting toilet “More,” TwoNeeds introduces a new, sustainable, and decentralized sanitary solution, along with innovative approaches to product experience and design. The toilet is made from natural and recycled materials that are durable, hygienic, and easy to clean. By collecting, composting, and returning biomass, the material cycle is closed, avoiding environmental pollution and the use of chemicals.

An extensive range of digital services supports the sustainable and positive impact of the product on the environment, particularly in urban areas. The design’s unique features include its natural and minimalist aesthetics, characterized by a conical shape that lends an almost iconic quality. By using durable and recyclable materials, the design emphasizes resource conservation and sustainability.

The product design minimizes unnecessary edges to enhance hygiene and ease of cleaning. The conical shape and minimalist design also create a spacious feel inside, contributing to user comfort. Externally, the design improves the image of event organizers, operators, or business owners in public spaces.

Attention was given to ergonomic details, such as the optimal seat height for comfort and the raised grip height for the chip container, which ensures users don’t have to work directly above the toilet opening when spreading the litter. The design focuses on functionality for easy transport, assembly, disassembly, use, and emptying of the composting toilet. The collapsible ladder principle facilitates transport and assembly, while the slopes and large surfaces ensure excellent service, hygiene, and cleaning.

Manufacturer: TwoNeeds, Germany

The mission of TwoNeeds is to accelerate the worlds transition to circular economy, we build compost toilets, urinals and services aro und them, to empower everyone save water and us the biomass in sustainable ways. TwoNeeds is significantly improving the current sanitation problem within municipalities, cities, national parks and nature reserves through sustainable and natural processes of the circular economy. Aspects such as conserving and recycling resources, well-being during use and image play important roles and are greatly improved. Currently, with every flush, the nutrient cycle is mixed with the water cycle. Sewage treatment plants use a lot of energy to ensure that the mixed cycles are separated again. What remains is contaminated water and the remains of our feces as a waste product that can no longer be used. Since the nutrients contained in our stool and urine are largely burned after treatment in sewage treatment plants, they cannot find their way back to their place of origin. The nutrient cycle is interrupted and is artificially closed with chemical fertilizers.

TwoNeeds' sanitary products close this material cycle without chemicals through a collection system for the resulting biomass. In order to compost this, the company collects it, composts it and then returns it to the cycle as nutrient-rich soil. 1. completely self-sufficient 2. use of natural materials and processes 4. waterless and chemical-free 5. improved hygiene 6. improved assembly/disassembly 7. improved well-being during use 8. increased image impact 9. no smells 10. resource recovery through composting.
