Katjusa Kranjc

Raketa

Katjuša Kranjc is an architect and designer. After obtaining her degree in architecture, she pursued the art of graphic design under the guidance of two of Slovenia’s greatest masters, Matjaž Vipotnik and Prof. Ranko Novak. In 1995, she embarked on an independent journey. In 2000 she founded Raketa studio and since 2005, she has been jointly leading it with her partner, Rok Kuhar. In 2017, she and Rok Kuhar founded the PIKKA brand, for which they successfully design and produce home products. In April 2023, she founded the DCLJ (Design Corner Ljubljana) brand.
Katjuša Kranjc is a co-author of holistically designed interiors, which play an integral role in architecture, product designs that have received numerous Slovenian and international awards, temporary spatial installations that enhance the experience of public spaces, and architectural projects that always stem from the local context and translate it into contemporary architecture.
With an awareness that architecture and design are part of a broader social, cultural, and environmental context, she also plays an important role as their promoter to a wider audience in the field of Slovenian architecture and design. One of her recent projects is the impactful establishment of DCLJ (Design Corner Ljubljana), a supportive environment for the promotion and sale of Slovenian design products.
