A low cupboard with flap doors, made entirely of oak and a distinctive metal base. It’s simple geometry shows off the beautiful grain of the wide oak boards which make up it’s form. The solid wood construction is kept clean, using hidden joinery and 45 degree angles between the sides and top. Small oak dovetail keyes provide stability to a natural crack in the board, and a small graphic accent to an otherwise minimalistic object. The metal base, which is also like a graphical sign, provides an airy support and creates a dynamic interaction between the main body and the floor.
The wood is finished with a oil finish and the metal is powder coated black. The dimensions are 3000x400x600mm.
