The biggest quality of the Kutscherhaus certainly is that, although it is only 35m² large, it gives you the feeling of being in a space 3 times the size. The sliding door – that’s special because it does not sit in the wall opening but outside the wall in a pocket. That way you really can enjoy the whole opening and not just half of it. It really does connect the inner space to the terrace – giving you the feeling of one continuous space. Lastly, the aluminium fin curtain was created to keep curious neighbours out and focus the outdoor space inward. This really wields together both areas into one volume, giving you the feeling of a generous, airy space.
